Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals help local kids

Throughout the year we tell you about many fun opportunities to support Cincinnati Children’s by participating in various Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMNH) sponsored events like DQ’s Miracle Treat Day happening today,July 26,at participating locations.

Many of you may be wondering exactly how our hospital benefits by being affiliated with this national program.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, which,in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids.

Since 1983,Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $ 4 billion, most of it $ 1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of CMNH’s mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Cincinnati Children’s has been a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital since 2002. All of the proceeds – 100% —raised locally by CMNH partners including Dairy Queen,Speedway,IHOP,Walmart and other companies are designated to Cincinnati Children’s.

As a result of our affiliation with the CMNH program and the overwhelming support of our local community and sponsors,Cincinnati Children’s has raised more than $ 4.6 million over the last decade.

CMNH’s next event is Miracle Jean’s Day on September 12. Support Cincinnati Children’s by organizing a company-wide jeans day for a $ 5 donation.

If your organization is interested in participating, call or e-mail Natalie Gerano, the CMNH contact at Cincinnati Children’s,at 513-636-9241 or natalie.gerano@cchmc.org.

Thank you for your support and remember to stop by your local Dairy Queen today for a tasty treat.
